Birand Bingül has a degree in journalism with a minor in American Studies at the University of Dortmund. As a reporter, he has worked for the Tagesschau and commentated on Tagesthemen. Bingül also served as deputy corporate spokesman of the WDR and as head of communications of the ARD. He is currently managing director of fischerAppelt, advisors. Bingül is the author of several books.
